If you have tools, equipment, materials, or use of property that you would like to donate to the Longship Company, send an email to   donations@longshipco.org       with the words "Donation Inquiry" in the subject line. Someone will contact you - if you prefer to be contacted by phone, please provide a phone number and the best time(s) to try to reach you by phone.

Donations needed:

Use of dock/slip on the Patuxent or Potomac rivers, or the Baltimore to Solomons shore of the Chesapeake Bay, with facilities on land.

Hardwood - Either sawn lumber, or logs: White Oak, Walnut, Cherry, Hickory/Ash (Maple and some more exotic woods can also be used for special purposes)

Spruce - Long clear lumber, particularly 12' and longer lengths suitable for making oars

Power tools - woodworking tools and machinery

Hand tools - wood and metalworking tools

Gasoline or diesel generator

Gasoline power washer

Fabric - wool, cotton/canvas, linen, silk

Leather - hides or used leather from old clothing, furniture, etc.

Fur - Any furs (old coats, etc.), sheepskins, goatskins, etc.

Large tarps (or pool covers, or billboard vinyl)

Rope - Synthetic or natural

Wooden barrels/casks/bowls/buckets/platters

Warehouse space suitable for over-winter storage of, and work on, our vessels
